Bathroom Pods, SE9
At the start of 2025 United Living awarded a Bathroom Pod project to Arvag to undertake the full refurbishment to Bathroom Pods.
The pods were added 15-20 years ago and were an extension of the main property to help free up space and provide the tenant with a fully fitted Bathroom.
To date we have completed 10 Bathroom Pods in Mottingham, SE9 with a rolling programme in place throughout 2025.
The pods due to there age have come to the end of their serviceable life so we have undertaken a full strip out of the pod including all walls and floors back to the studwork and joists. This was also applicable to the exterior with the roof and the cladding also being removed along with the door and the window.
Once the pod was made water tight after the new roof cladding door and window, we then made all internal changes to the plumbing and electrcal services. Once these were done the next step was to fully insulate the walls, floors and roof void and install the required ventilation.
Then with a sound structure to work to after the plasterboard and moisture board we set about installing the new bathroom suite follwed by the woodwork, tiling, painting and the finishing touches with a new vinyl floor.
